At the Scottish Cultural Centre, we enjoy going the extra mile, and we take great pride in the services our experienced and courteous staff provide to ensure your special day is memorable for all the right reasons. We care almost as much as you do!
Many people know us because they’ve been to a wedding reception here, or they know of someone who has had a favourable experience with a wedding reception or other function here. Nearly all of our advertising is done from “Word of Mouth” referrals; a great indicator of customer satisfaction.
Our main ballroom, the Caledonian, can accommodate up to 390 people. However, smaller functions are also well served, because our partition wall can be employed to divide the room into sections to accommodate smaller gatherings. The Caledonian is a favourite among people who want a large, beautiful hardwood dance floor, a full stage and a tall ceiling.
Our commercial kitchen has three ovens and ten burners, plenty of refrigerated space, and a high speed dishwasher. Hire our caterer or bring your own!
Our bar area sits in the foyer, so precious floor space in the main ballroom isn’t diminished. Unlike most venues, there is NO CORKING FEE at the Scottish Cultural Centre. This means that we don’t charge you to dispense beverages, and we don’t insist you pay a premium to dispense ours. Potentially, this can save a great deal of money off your budget.
Parking is available on-site, or on the streets around our building. There is an Impark across from us, one under the Arthur Lainge bridge, and a local school and church, one block away, also provides more than 100 spots.
